America: the country aspires to so much, but often fails to live up to its own ideals. Though these images weren't taken with that theme in mind, I like to think they show something of the country as a bold experiment, one which has succeeded on some counts – and failed on others. The eagle-eyed will spot a couple of images thrown in of America's northern cousin.
